LTREK VINSON MASSIF

One
of the
LTrek®
signature Seven Leadership Summits™, LTrek Vinson
Massif™, is a distinctively innovative youth leadership
development program in which your extraordinary venue
becomes the icy mountain participants must undertake!
Students play leadership and character development games
and activities while virtually conquering the highest
peak on the continent of Antarctica, located about 1,200
km from the South Pole.
Students
are introduced to Mt. Vinson Massif and the continent of
Antarctica. Antarctica is the
coldest, driest and windiest continent on Earth, and
also has the highest average elevation of the seven
continents.
Students handle snow and ice climbing gear as they
consider the preparation required. LTrek Vinson Massif™
activities correlate with the frosty trail to the summit
of Mt. Vinson Massif.
Just as each of LTrek’s Seven Leadership Summits™ explores a
different leadership virtue, LTrek Vinson Massif™
focuses on the virtue of “faith.” Students learn that
leaders emerge in extreme environments.
Through analogy and an interactive presentation,
students learn specifically that leaders must be
trustworthy and have the faith to trust others.
Believing in others and working well in teams or groups
means responsibly contributing in meaningful ways.
Participants will explore ways to build trust and to
work well in teams.
All campers receive a certificate of completion upon
summiting LTrek Vinson Massif™, a magnificent leadership
adventure!
